The Mercedes-Benz W113, nicknamed the ‘Pagoda’ due to the design and shape of its concave hard top, portable roof, was produced in 44 colours from 1963 and 1971. Beautiful in hue and perfectly picked to blanket the Pagoda’s exotic exterior, these colours were vibrant in variety and indicative of the sixties era. Aspiring owners of the time would have had quite the task choosing from over eight different reds and four different greens. While these were not all all at once, they none the less allowed for following decades to be filled with a vast pool of Pagodas in exciting colour ways.

Some of these colours have been lost to time, but others continue to surf the tarmac of European and US roads. Colours such as Signal Red (568) and Anthracite Grey Metallic (172) endure and appeal to all generations, while others such as Tunis Beige (462) and Light Beige (181) have been lost to the scrutiny of modern trends.
