Classic Mercedes Specialist Restoration

At The SLSHOP, we’re driven by our customers. In the beginning, we were a small Mercedes specialist focusing solely in the R107 variant. Since then, we’ve grown into a full classic Mercedes-Benz Specialist with 60 members of staff dedicated to models from the fifties to the 2000s. And now, we have customers on all continents. Through servicing and restoring 107 SLs, we’ve been asked to handle various tasks, big and small, on all manner of classic cars. As a result, this has given us the experience and skills to restore, maintain and service any classic Mercedes-Benz. As well as our well-known work with the R 107, W113 and R129, we’ve restored and worked on many Mercedes models, including 300 SEL 6.3s, W111 280 SE 3.5s, Pontons, W116, W123, and more. SLSHOP is a family-run, independent Mercedes-Benz specialist based in Warwickshire, UK. Undoubtedly, we set the benchmark when it comes to the R107 SL. As well as setting the standards, we forge an example for others to follow. Over the years, through our work with classic SLs, we’ve developed an intimate understanding of these superb cars. As such, we’ve built a knowledge and skill base that cannot be rivalled.

Furthermore, our thriving parts department ships classic Mercedes-Benz components worldwide. In addition, our workshops are full of a great many exciting classic Mercedes-Benz restorations. Similarly, in our showroom, you’ll ﬁnd some of the very best cars available. Not only do we have the R107 SL, but we also have all generations of SL and more. Above all, our core passion is the R107. But our knowledge and interest spreads to all Mercedes-Benz models. Consequently, our parts store caters to all manner of classics. SAM BAILEY – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Sam grew up with all manner of classic cars. Above all, it was his passion for all things automotive and ambition that launched SLSHOP. He doesn’t like to compromise, especially when it comes to presentation and service. Unquestionably, what drives Sam is being at the forefront of the industry. Also, his passion for ﬁnding or producing elusive, hard-to-ﬁnd classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles that cannot be obtained anywhere else.

BRUCE GREETHAM – DIRECTOR AND GENERAL MANAGER

There’s no doubt that Bruce is a serious Mercedes-Benz aﬁcionado. In addition to his ‘famous’ 500SL, he’s owned an enviable list of classics including a 124 Coupe and a 560SEC. Besides anything else, his sharp eye and deep knowledge of the brand are utilised in all areas of the business, ensuring we are the classic Mercedes specialist to go to. Not only is he invaluable in the showroom with clients, but he’s also involved in the workshop with technicians. Particularly, Bruce’s passion is concours. Not only does he have a love for the compeition, but he’s scooped all manner of awards, including a Concours d’Elégance win with his own R107 SL.
