The ‘Perfect Pagoda’ truly does exist, and we can assure that after restoring hundreds, that the starting point is an engine that performs without fault at your command. Our Engine Health Check has been designed and tailored to each Pagoda engine, focusing on rectifying lack of performance, poor fuel economy, cold and warm starting issues and much more.

Our Heritage Craftsmen have designed this program to ensure no engine element is overlooked, considering the whole engine to establish interlinked problems. This level of interrogation is to ensure the same problems don’t occur again, allowing you to simply gain enjoyment out of your Pagoda.

Our Engine Health Check starts with a Compression test to establish the compression levels of each cylinder, and should they not meet the minimum guidelines, we will then carry out a Leak Back test to determine the amount of pressure lost and from which specific cylinders. This process will give a good indication of the condition of the cylinders and valves, revealing what level of restoration your engine may need.

Based on the outcome of the compression and leak back test, our craftsmen will then move on to other elements of the engine, checking the operation of the distributor, the cold start system, warm running system, checking for air leaks, assessing fuel pressures and the emissions. All of these elements need to be considered to achieve optimum engine performance.
