Our Specialist Workshop is dedicated to models from the 1970s and 1980s, including everything from the R107 SL to the W126 SEC and the W116 S-Class. Our Vehicle Health Check has been configured to align with your particular classic Mercedes model, assessing the condition of the car to help you understand what (if any) improvements are required.
WHAT IS IT?
SLSHOP’s VHC is a step-by-step investigation of your vehicle covering 300 different elements and includes everything from the vehicle’s chassis rails to the state of the interior trim and even the condition of the chrome.

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Our craftsmen commit house to inspecting the mechanical, structural and cosmetic condition of your vehicle on our Workshop ramps, before heading out on to the road to test your saloon or coupe in real life conditions. This is structured like an MOT, but far more comprehensive and details over 300 different points of assesment. A report is issued detailing the condition of your vehicle and any works required through a red, amber and green system of urgency.
Our approach is unique to you and your car. We’ll discuss the report with you to understand what you want us to focus on to bring your vehicle up to your standards. We’ll work with you whether you’re looking for a councours car or something to use daily.

WHO IS THE VEHICLE HEALTH CHECK FOR?
EXISTING OWNERS:
Has the vehicle been in the family for years? Do you want to know the state of the undercarriage or the steering? Our VHC retunes you to your vehicle and reveals what (if anything) needs addressing.
GARAGED VEHICLES:
Any classic Mercedes will suffer from long periods standing. Our VHC will help assess what needs to be done to bring your vehicle back to life after a long period of dormancy.
NEW OWNERS:
Our New Owner VHC is an extended package for new owners who have recently acquired the vehicle online or via auction. This will help you understand what improvements need to be made and prepare you for your first 12 months on the road.
THOSE CONSIDERING SELLING:
This report will provide potential buyers with a picture of the calibre of your vehicle, making their purchase decision easier.
