We’ll start with a Vehicle Health Check to establish the structural condition of your classic Mercedes-Benz, before outlining what (if any) structural restoration is required. Some of the areas that will be interrogated include:
- Sills: Both the inner and outer sills may have suffered from corrosion
- Rear Chassis Legs: These could have suffered from blocked drains, resulting in corrosion to the wheel arches and tubs.
- Boot Floor: Failing seals will cause water to get trapped in the boot floor and spare wheel well.
- Front cross-member: This section houses essential cosmetic elements such as chrome bumpers – any corrosion to this area will likely spread and cause bumper fixings to fail.
- Toeing Eye: Corrosion here will ultimately effect the chassis legs and lead to wider issues.
