TERMS AND CONDITIONS (UK Event & Experiences)
1 EVENT DEFINITION
1.1 All Tours are non-competitive ‘Touring Assemblies’ for road going classic cars, including any car which might qualify as a future classic. The events will be organised by SLSHOP Ltd and a representative of the company will accompany all events. SLSHOP Ltd EVENTS HAVE NO COMPETITIVE ELEMENT
1.2 All vehicles must be correctly registered, currently licensed with a valid MOT Certificate, and be in roadworthy condition. Trade plates are forbidden. Cars may be scrutineered for compliance with the Road Traffic Act prior to the event.
1.3 The event will take place on the dates shown in the individual tour itineraries.
1.4 Drivers must possess a current and full driving licence and have valid insurance in accordance with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act.
2 PAYMENT
2.1 Payment to be made by cheque or online banking. We do not accept credit or debit card payments. All deposits can be paid on-line via attendee online bank account to SLSHOP Ltd or by cheque posted to SLSHOP Ltd head office. We do not take card payments over the telephone.
2.2 50% of the per person fee is required to confirm attendance. We will issue you with a booking confirmation and invoice for the outstanding balance and date payment is to be received by. If you are making a booking for a departure which is less than eight weeks away, we will require Full Payment at the time of booking. Currency of Transactions
2.3 All payments are to be in GBP.
2.4 This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. If any provisions of this agreement are held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall remain.
2.5 By sending a deposit to use and joining our tours you are deemed to have accepted ALL of our Terms and Conditions applicable both at the time of booking and the time of travel.
3 THE ROUTE
3.1 The route will be as defined in the individual tour itinerary.
3.2 To balance the ‘interesting driving’ with the need to reach our ultimate destination each day, the route may be split into “Touring Sections” and “Road Sections”. There will be no mandatory time schedule. However, specified times may be issued for refreshment halts and for visits to certain points of interest.
3.3 Itineraries may vary slightly from those originally advertised due to circumstances at the time of the event, but every effort will be made to include all the main features or alternatives to the same standard. Any major changes will be announced in pre-event bulletins.
4 ROUTE FINDING
4.1 Maps and directions will be issued. The onus on finding the correct route rests with the driver/attendants. (Officials of the event will be available at the start if further explanation is required.) In some cases, maps may be provided, but a road atlas is always useful. Participants are free to use satnav or other electronic aids as required but warn that by doing so they are likely to miss some of the most scenic detours which have been researched.
4.2 Routes are advisory and there are no penalties or prizes for following or not following the suggested route.
5 ATTENDEES
5.1 The attendee fee will be as stated in the individual event promotion and will be per person, based on two people sharing a car and accommodation. Inclusions as specified on individual itineraries.
5.2 All attendees must be pre booked and pre-paid in full according to the specified payment requirements.
5.3 The selection of attendees is at the absolute discretion of the organisers. The number may vary according to tour/events. Preference will be given to the relevant vehicles. The organisers may refuse an entry without giving any reason. Acceptance of attendance will be confirmed by e-mail as soon as possible after enquiry.
5.4 No advertising, trade sign or promotional display may be carried on, or distributed from any vehicle without prior agreement.
5.5 Attendees are expected to drive in a courteous manner, in respect of other road users, and the other members of the tour. This is a group event and as such you, attendees of the group, have some responsibility towards other group members throughout the experience.
We always expect attendees to drive safely, and it is attendee responsibility to be individually aware of the prevailing speed limits, road signs and rules of the roads etc.
If attendees are unable to keep pace with the main group or wish to individually stop off to look at places of interest/museums etc. attendees may be required to drive separately from the main group to avoid keeping other group members waiting for long periods of time.
6 START
6.1 Details of the starting point and venue will be issued with the ‘Final Instructions’ which will be issued in the two weeks before the event.
7 FINISH
7.1 The ‘official’ finish will be the final specified destination in the itinerary.
8 RISK & RESPONSIBILITY
8.1 Attendee participation on any of our tours is entirely at your own risk. We are NOT responsible or liable for any injuries the attendee may suffer, fatal or otherwise. Also, we are NOT responsible for any loss or damage to attendee property, including your vehicle, irrespective of how any damage may have been caused.
9 POSTPONEMENT or CANCELLATION
9.1 The organisers reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event or any part thereof, should circumstances arise which cause such action necessary. Should the organisers deem it necessary to cancel the event, the refund of fees will be dependent on the circumstances. Refunds will be made as applicable.
10 CANCELLATION OF ATTENDEES AND REFUNDS
10.1 Cancellations must be made to the organisers in writing. Any refunds may be at the organisers discretion or subject to reselling the attendee places and deposits will be forfeited.
10.2 It is advised that attendees have valid travel insurance.
11 ACCOMMODATION/MEALS
11.1 Accommodation for all nights of the tour (as specified in the itinerary) is included in the fee. Dinner will be included most nights unless otherwise stated. Lunch may also be provided if specified in the event details. Special dietary requirements and special room requirements/requests should be stated when booking.
12 RECOVERY
12.1 Breakdown/recovery services will not be provided by the organisers. All attendees are advised to arrange their own recovery service, Mobile phone numbers for all event officials will be given before departure from the designated starting point.
13 EXTRAS
13.1 Extra night/s accommodation at the start or finish of events can be arranged through the organisers at an additional fee. Any extras ordered at the designated hotels must be paid direct to the hotel before departure.
14 LIABILITY
14.1 SLSHOP Ltd will accept no liability for loss, damage or injury where there has been no fault of ourselves, servants or agents or which neither we nor our suppliers could have foreseen if all due care had been exercised. Driving standards and personal insurance are the customer’s responsibility. We accept liability only to provide the services advertised, or where circumstances dictate, alternatives to a similar standard.
14.2 SLSHOP Ltd accept no responsibility for the standard of any roads used and the onus is on the entrant to drive according to the conditions. The standard of surface may vary with weather conditions and local authorities.
15 CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE
15.1 By booking to attend, attendees will agree to abide by the above conditions, regulations, and costs.
16.0 DATA PROTECTION
16.1 Attendees details will be kept on computer file and used only for future communication regarding our events. Client Information will be treated with full confidentiality and will not be passed to any third party.
17 CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
17.1 It is deemed that attendees, will agree to abide by the above conditions, regulations and costs when booking to attend.
