My 1993 R129 500SL is a dream! The quality, the style, the sound of its v8 and the overall feeling of the car never fails to put a smile on your face.
What I love about this car is that it gets attention from everyone and every generation. Everything from young kids shouting “ohh! Look at that cool car!” to their parents as well as from older folks who have come up and began conversations.
Let me tell you, that doesn’t happen often in Norway. I hear and see peoples positive reaction to the car every time I drive. It is the coolest car I could ever own at 18 years old. I am so happy to have experienced a car like this. I plan to own and enjoy it for a long time, but the fact that I forever get to say I have owned this car is simply amazing.
