An R107 built by The SL Shop scooped the best SL award at the 2016 SL Day. The car, owned by SL Shop director Bruce Greetham has been subject to an extensive three-year restoration.
Not only did the 1987 500SL take the ‘Best R107SL’ award, it scored the full 100 points – the maximum available. This score means the car did not log a single fault against the strict judging criteria. Resplendent in Nautic Blue with cream leather interior, the car was the cover star of Status Volume 1 and can be seen at a number of classic car shows throughout the year. Bruce is a previous Mercedes-Benz concours winner, and has been part of The SL Shop since the very beginning. Bruce’s eye for detail and passion for originality combined with the skill and experience of the workshop team make The SL Shop the only choice when it comes to buying or restoring a high quality R107 SL.

A rare Mercedes-Benz R129 once sold by The SL Shop has achieved £56,250 at auction. The SL60 AMG, one of 49 right-hand drive cars made, changed hands at the Salon Prive Sale 2016. The sale is another indicator that R129 values continue to follow the R107.
