Condition Synopsis:

A rare car in an unusual colour combination, this Arctic White 300SL looks the part. Although we usually find Arctic White paired with Blue Fabric, we can’t recall seeing another with the smart Mid Red fabric that’s matched to this car. The optional rear seats make it a very usable classic, and the recent works that have been undertaken are impressive. SLSHOP completed a rebuild of the bulkhead in 2023, fixing and repairing rust and giving it our very own seal of approval. With the mileage on the sensible side of 80,000, this is an appealing SL that can be used and enjoyed whilst the major jobs have already been completed. With a black fabric soft top and that red interior, this is quite a special SL and would make an excellent companion for long distance touring - or showing at your local cars and coffee.

History File:

This car has a well documented service history, with the most recent significant works being the bulkhead, which was done at SL SHOP. Amongst the plethora of documents within the file we also find a receipt from Nigel Mansell Sports Cars… This 300SL was sold on 7th August 1992 for the sum of £18,500, with an Opel Manta GTE 2 litre taken in part exchange against it. Funnily enough the typewritten document spells the word Opel wrong, written as Opal. We’d expect better from Nigel Mansell….!
