The SL Shop are totally driven to ensure each car leaves us in the highest possible standard. We have three detailers here and each is committed to ensuring cars are prepared to the correct standard whether that is for someone collecting their new car or a car that has had an oil and filter change, every car that leaves here has to be to The SL Shop standard.
Valeting is a thorough cleaning process that involves a professional systematic deep clean of your cars' exterior and interior. We use the best quality professional products and applicators to ensure a first class finish.
Exterior cleaned twice, washed with PH neutral foam, bodywork polished and scratches corrected where possible. Wheels deep cleaned. Tyres and plastics dressed. Glass cleaned inside and out. Interior cleaned and wet vacuumed if needed. Leather treated.
Our trained detailers have a full range of products and equipment available to make your car beautiful. Our first step is to chat through your needs and agree what is achievable with your car, we can then select and agree the process to achieve the desired outcome. These processes can include deep paintwork clean including clay bar, 3 stage machine polish, engine bay detail, Chrome restorative treatment, deep interior clean (especially useful on MB tex interiors).
Do you own a particularly tidy R107, R129, W126 or W124 that you fancy showing off?
Concours is a bug, and there’s no going back once you’re afflicted! They say the devil is in the detail, and concours preparation is all about the detail. Getting the right part, exactly the right finish, exactly the right specification is where concours cars excel over well presented vehicles.
If you’re considering preparing your car for a concours event, be warned… it takes more than just a weekend and a bit of polish to win awards. It demands time and energy, and also research to get the details right.
Our resident SL expert Bruce Greetham has won awards for his cars, and has also worked as a concours judge. We’d be happy to talk you through the process of what it will take to bring your car to concours standard.
The first step is to evaluate the car and decide on a strategy for refurbishment and replacement of components that don’t meet the mark, before embarking on the lengthy process of rectification.
A true concours car will push your patience as well as your budget, but the feeling of displaying a car that is close to perfect is well worth the effort.
