This delightful 300SL was built in May 1989, placing it amongst the last of the 13,742 examples of the 300SL that left Sindelfingen between 1986 and 1989.

Finished in the rare colour of Midnight Blue, it is complimented by a grey leather interior, along with rear passenger seats. Leather and rear seating were cost options, along with headlamp wash and wipe – standard fit on the 420SL and 500SL but £309.13 on a 300SL. The list price and options would give this car a ‘new’ price of £34,566, or £91,181.50 in today’s money.

With the Dark Blue fabric soft top, this is a fantastic looking car, with the dark paintwork allowing the bright chrome to really shine.

The car comes from long term ownership, having been cared for by the same keeper for the last two decades. During this time it has covered less than 10,000 miles, and been looked after by Weald Garage. The history file illustrates a picture of a well cared for car, used sparingly and taken to the local garage whenever servicing or maintenance has been needed.
