A beautiful early 380SL complete with characteristic V8 engine and finished in a superb colour. With Beige Leather contrasting against the Blue Green paintwork, this is an SL that has style and substance in abundance.
Built in August 1984, this car boasts an exemplary service record and first appeared at SLSHOP back in 2014. 7 years and 4 services later, it returns to be sold by us once again, with the owner moving onto automotive pastures new and opting instead for a particularly fine more modern R129 SL.
Coming from careful ownership, this car is a joy to drive. The first owner opted for Cruise Control and Body Matched Painted Chrome Wheel Trims instead of the Light Hole Bundt Alloy Wheels that were popular at the time, and with a car this colour, the impact of this aesthetic is certainly striking.
Back in the early 1980s around £2,000 separated the 280SL, 380SL and 500SL in the brochure, with the options on this car pushing the total to just under £20,000 – or £78,000 in today’s money.
Finding a good quality 380SL is getting harder to do, more so with low mileage. With less than 50,000 showing on the odometer and a lifetime of careful ownership, this striking SL is surely one to buy.
