The Advantage Motorsport Future Classics series is for Sports, Saloons and GT cars (with doors) from the 1970’s and 1980’s.
First running in 2006 the Advantage Motorsport Future Classics series is extremely popular.
There are just four simple eligibility rules – Tyres, Induction Type, Silhouette and Original engine type. The series is split into 2 groups for 1970s and 1980s cars with an overall winner for each decade.
Races are run over 40 minutes with the added excitement of a mandatory pit stop. This allows entries to be split between 2 drivers or even a 2 car team racing in relay. A 30 minute qualifying session will take place on the same day. All race-winning cars/drivers accumulate winners time penalties, helping to stop a single car/driver from dominating.

HSCC 70s Road Sports
The 70s Road Sports Championship does exactly what it says on the tin. It is a race series for road-legal production sports cars produced and registered in the 1970s.
Some minor modifications to engines and suspension are permitted, but bodyshells must remain standard. For a full list of eligible cars see the “Eligible Weights” document on this page. The result is a huge and varied field, packed with Porsches, Datsuns, MGs and many more marques. Extra Championship points are awarded for cars driven to and from the circuit on the road.

Eligible Cars
The HSCC 70’s Road Sports Championship is open to genuine production Sports, GT and two door Coupe cars built and road-registered between 1/1/70 and 31/12/79. Cars built and road-registered in the 1980s which are precisely to the same specification as the 1970s model will be considered by the Committee. Only minor modifications to engine and suspension are permitted; body silhouette must remain as standard.
Other cars may be eligible subject to proof of series production in period. Excluded from this Championship is all light weight, high performance or competition versions, together with any one-off specials. Cars must remain road legal and additional championship points are awarded to competitors who drive their car to and from the circuit (from their place of residence or permanent storage facility of the car).
Modifications are strictly limited and all cars in Classes A to E must have a current HSCC Vehicle Identification Form (VIF). No competitor can claim Championship points unless the VIF has been approved by the Registrar. A list of eligible cars is available with the relevant weights.

- Class E All cars up to 1500cc
Class I Invitation Class – Solely to encourage competitors to join the 70s Championship. Road Sports, GT and two door coupes from the same era may be accepted at the invitation of the HSCC. A Vehicle Detail Form (VDF), available from the Office, will need to be completed at least four weeks before the event; an offer of acceptance or refusal will then be given within seven days.

Track Day Experience
Your chance to drive the most extreme R107 SL in existence – our 450 V8 race car.
Our experience with building the SportLine taught us to go further. This 450SL features a free flowing 4.5 litre V8 mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Removing the restrictions on the engine breathing and exhaust system pushes power to 310bhp, whilst the improvements in the chasis and fully pollybushed suspension will defy your understanding of what an SL is capable of.
With our SportLine Track Time, you’ll have support from SL Shop staff and receive tuition from a qualified race instructor.
Our race instructors are not just there to keep you safe, but to show you how to get around the circuit as quickly as possible.
Finally, your SportLine On Track session will finish with a passenger ride as a professional racing driver demonstrates what our race car is really capable of.
No previous track or race experience is necessary, and all equipment will be provided.
The whole experience lasts around an hour and a half, and is the perfect gift for an automotive enthusiast, or for anyone curious about what an SL can do when pushed to the limit. For those of you looking to dip a toe in the world of classic motorsport, our SportLine On Track session is the ideal start point to your brand new hobby.

Sportline Driven
It all started with a question: can the iconic R107 Mercedes-Benz SL meet the expectations of modern performance car drivers? After restoring, repairing and maintaining many R107s, we found customers asking the same sort of questions. Can we firm up the ride a little? Can we improve the pedal response? Can we get more power without losing the character of the car? And so, with the keen driver in mind, the SportLine project was launched.

Our SportLine Race Car is a UK 450SL RHD car, that’s been given the full SportLine treatment. This means upgraded suspension, throttle linkage, steering… Well, everything, actually. It also features a manual gearbox, giving it the ability to do things we never thought possible with an SL.

The paint had barely dried on our road going SportLine 300SL prototype before SportLine Racer plans were being hatched.
Sportline 300
Although the R107 SL was superbly engineered, we always knew the platform was capable of more. Customers were looking to make the car drive, respond and brake in line with modern performance standards. With this in mind, we started the SportLine project.
Sportline 500
Long before our 300SL SportLine reached the pages of glossy magazines, when it was an unpainted shell and boxes of unfulfilled potential, we knew that a V8 SportLine had to be next – what we didn’t have at the time was the right customer.
