What is it?
This high performance Limited Slip Differential is the same model used in our SportLine. It allows the car to utilise more of its onboard power by reducing wheel spin and torque steer.
Where does it go?
This differential directly replaces the factory fitted item in your 300SL.
Why do I need it?
The main advantage of a limited-slip differential is that LSD prevents excessive power from being allocated to one wheel, and so keeps both wheels in powered rotation, ensuring that the traction will not be limited to the wheel which can handle the minimum amount of power.
On the road and track, this translates into reduced wheel spin and torque steer, less under steer during cornering and improved straight line acceleration.
This product is aimed at customers who wish to push the limits of the SL for race and rally applications.

There are no options to choose with this part.
How do I fit it?
This part needs to be fitted by a specialist. However, below is a brief description of how to fit a LSD kit for your knowledge:
Firstly, remove the differential from the vehicle. This involves removing 4 bolts and carefully removing the part. Ensure that you keep these bolts safe as these can be used again to secure the new part to the car. Also remove the ABS sensor.
The differential then needs to be refurbished. This means replacing the bearings and seals. It also needs new oil.
