Ordered new by Mrs Paula Harris in Aberdeen, this 300SL was acquired with the help of a part exchanged Datsun 280ZX with only 28,500 miles on the clock. Mrs Harris paid £25,000 for this particular 300SL after the part exchange value of £3,000. Approximately £70,000 in today’s money. In 1990, Mrs Harris passed the vehicle on and it was sold to a new owner based in Wokingham.
The Arctic White (147U) paintwork is in fantastic condition, standing the test of time to bring you and envious eyes the spirit of Miami. This is a unique colour paired with a Black MB Tex interior to hug occupants – the interior upholstery is all in tact with no rips, tears or stains. As demonstrated by the images, the upholstery, carpets, centre console and dash wood is all in factory condition. MB Tex makes a great alternative to leather and pleases those with vegan principles.
This 300SL R107 features electric windows, cruise control, electrically adjustable mirrors and an emergence fire extinguisher. Outside, As a leading model offered by Mercedes-Benz, this 300SL features ABS, power-steering and an extremely reliable straight six engine. The 300SL is more economical than V8 variants and also lighter, making it more manageable in corners at high-speeds. The 300SL makes a great contender for a SportLine project, should you have the appetite.
As you can see from the history below, the car was not used much at all between 1991 and today, as evidenced by the low mileage.
