Low Mileage V8 with only 3 owners since 1996

Arriving from the Island of Jersey In 2016, this R129 SL is a fantastic example of Sacco’s most loved creation. Since registration in 1996 the vehicle has passed through just 3 owners, with the current owner acquiring the vehicle in 2017, covering a miniscule number of miles in their custody.

Upon arrival on mainland UK, the vehicle was sent straight to a number of reputable Mercedes-Benz specialists for remedial work. This work was at considerable cost to the current owner and included the replacement of the exhaust system, rear suspension work, steering dampers and rear brake hoses.

The current owner also invested considerably in revival of the interior, commissioning a new soft top hood, a re-trim of the seats, steering wheel and fitment of new cards. All of this cost in excess of £3500.00 in 2018 and we can confirm that the level of craftsmanship is exceptional. As indicated in the photos, the interior looks stupendous in the Grey Leather (268A) and is of original specification, stitched in the correct way with the same grade of leather used by Mercedes-Benz in 1996.

EXTERIOR:

The Brilliant Silver (7440) exterior paired with the Grey interior offers a contemporary feel, providing an air of luxury to this modern classic roadster. The silver highlights the strong angles and proportions of this R129, showing off the elegant simplicity of Sacco’s design. As you can see, this vehicle has some of the characteristics of the face-lift R129 – the slightly redesigned front and rear bumpers, the change in style of the front side vents. This SL500 does though, retain the orange side indicators – parts that are hard to come by in 2022.

This possesses an array of modern conveniences including cruise control, heated front and rear seats, electrically adjustable seats, electrically adjustable mirrors with memory function, headlamp wash/wipe and an extensive speaker system. The new owner will also benefit from the aftermarket Continental head unit which has a USB and auxiliary port for phones.
