15th – 20th September
Join us this autumn for a classic car road trip to remember… Taking in iconic European cities, internationally renowned sights and some of the best forest roads in the world.
Our European trip has been designed around classic car enthusiasts. We wanted to create a trip that covered some distance without being grueling, so we have ensured the driving days are well balanced with sight seeing and relaxation.
This trip has been fully researched, so we’ll be driving on great roads, stopping at superb restaurants, cafes, coffee shops that we’ve found during our time in the area. Accommodation for this trip has been hand picked for our clients, and is sure to offer comfort and luxury that Mercedes-Benz owners are familiar with.
There will be chances to see internationally renowned sights such as the French and American War Graves, the Black Forest of Germany including the famous B500 route, traditional Bavarian villages and the highlight of the trip, the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart.
This is a great opportunity to bring your SL on the adventure of a lifetime with a convoy of like-minded enthusiasts.
Day 1: Monday 14th September
Our adventure begins in the stunning town centre of Bruges, just one hour from the Channel Tunnel. Arrive anytime before 3pm and enjoy the thriving city before we enjoy a group welcome dinner at 7.15pm
Day 2: Tuesday 15th September
The one big driving day of the tour, covering almost 250 miles across beautiful countryside. A chance to open up the taps and enjoy these cars for a full day of grand touring. We’ll break for lunch and later enjoy a sumptuous dinner and rooms at a hilltop chateau. On route we will also visit the war cemetery at Verdun.
Day 3: Wednesday 16th September
A full day of driving on some magnificent roads, we take in the twisties of the B500 through the Black Forest with stunning mountain views. We stop at a roadside hut for Black Forest gateau (it has to be done!!!) before arriving in the historic town of Tübingen. We will all enjoy dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant.
Day 4: Thursday 17th September
Thursday is a day of rest and relaxation. OR you can join us for a special visit to The Mercedes-Benz Museum and Porsche Classic Centre. Both are world-class attractions and around one hour from the hotel or a little more if you take the scenic route. Alternatively, the day can be spent away from the car enjoying the hospitality of Tübingen and the hotel. The evening is free for you to explore the town and enjoy supper wherever you choose.
Day 5: Friday 18th September
We hit the road again today for a fantastic drive through more of the Black Forest before crossing the Rhine River again and into the Vosges Mountains. There are some lovely French cafes to stop at for a little refreshment and stunning views from the top of The Grand Ballon. On the way down the mountain there is an (optional) luges run. Finally after around 150 miles you will arrive at Geradamer and to our hotel by the lake. Dinner is your choice, either at the hotel or in a nearby French restaurant which is always busy due its sumptuous food.
Day 6: Saturday 19th September
Working our way back across France via the A roads we head for Epernay to visit the champagne houses. Here you will find lots of places for lunch before we convene for an early afternoon tour of the Mercier underground champagne cellars. This is a trip not to be missed and involves very little walking but quite a lot of champagne (so long as you are not the driver).
Our evening is spent enjoying our Finale dinner at the hotel. There might even be prizes….
Day 7: Sunday 20th. September
After breakfast you are free to make your way back to the Channel Tunnel (around three hours on the motorway) or perhaps head for a final evening in Paris. Either way you will have made new friends and driven your SL through some of the best roads that Europe has to offer with lovely food and wine. Come and join us.
