Petrol Blue / Tan leather
With such effortless performance, and all the usual glamour of an R107 Mercedes-Benz, our 1987 560SL is a supreme grand touring car. Its woofling V8 engine makes the perfect partner as you climb Alpine passes, cruise along the Côte d’Azur with the wind in your hair, or flow with the landscape in the Scottish Highlands. Customers just love how our 560SL eats the miles.
The 560SL was a left-hand drive special destined for the North American, Japanese and Australian markets. Effectively the range topping R107 Roadster, its 5.5-litre powerplant produces a healthy 227bhp and is linked to a smooth and responsive four-speed automatic gearbox.
As you’d expect from a Mercedes-Benz, build quality, comfort and design are off the charts, the 107-series SL feeling as solid as a Swiss bank vault and carved into an impossibly beautiful shape. It really is no wonder these chrome-trimmed classics are now appreciating in value.
The SL’s high quality fabric roof folds neatly behind the rear parcel shelf, and can be deployed in a short minute if required. But most of our clients drive the 560SL with the roof down whenever possible, and who can blame them! With air conditioning as standard, the interior is finished in Java leather upholstery and offsets the exterior Petrol Blue metallic paintwork to a tee.
