The Mercedes SL R107 is a superbly engineered car, probably amongst the best ever made, that said as with any car as it gets older, issues do develop due to age, deterioration or lack of servicing. As a specialist for these cars we've seen enough SL's to really get to know them inside and out. Below is a list of some of the most common faults and problems we've encountered. This information is also really helpful if you are planning on buying an SL, as some faults may appear very alarming, such as braking issues, but in reality are an easy, inexpensive fix.
